Cashmere

Cashmere

lightweight schist

This 1940's Art Deco Cashmere home was lovingly repaired and restored to its former glory following the Canterbury Earthquakes, with some tasteful contemporary touches.

For this project we removed the existing schist cladding, re-cut it using custom diamond cutting machinery and then installed as new lightweight cladding. We had the opportunity to showcase our skill in ensuring this new lightweight stone looked solid and traditional - a sign of high class stonemasonry.

The airy sunroom features Halswell stone paving. This extends outdoor to meandering paths, poolside paving and also as a fireplace surround.

This project won four Home of the Year Awards
